The durable thermometer has a plastic backing, making it possible to leave it in liquids without damaging the thermometer. The thermometers measure 15cm approximately and do not contain any mercury.
Perfect if you want to compare the temperature of water inside the classroom and outside. Put them in a glass of water and put the glass in the fridge. This enables you to monitor the temperature changes of liquids after putting them in the refrigerator.
You can also stick the thermometer to the window, to monitor the temperature outside. What happens to the temperature on a sunny day? And what happens if it rains? Can your students find patterns in the temperature related to the seasons and weather conditions? The thermometers are perfect for little hands and are very durable. This makes it an ideal resource for classroom use, from an early age onward. Ages 6+ years Please note that these thermometers can not be used in boiling water. The maximum temperature to safely use the thermometer is 50 degrees Celsius (boiling water is 100 degrees C).
