A Complete Language Arts Program For First Grade Through High School

Integrated Language Arts skills

Integrated learning incorporates spelling, reading, vocabulary, grammar, writing, penmanship, and phonics in the same lesson, instead of being taught each skill in isolation and then filling in workbook pages. This method not only gives the student more understanding of the skills as they work with real-world models but also strengthens their retention. The goal of any homeschool language arts program should be to equip the student for a lifetime of communication through the written and spoken word.

Language Arts Curriculum with Real Literature

Reading real books instead of basal stories makes reading more attractive to students and creates an appreciation of literature that enriches their lives and encourages critical thinking skills. Using these real books as writing models creates a deeper understanding of grammar, writing mechanics, vocabulary, and spelling , which will improve their writing skills. With our carefully curated book selections, students are introduced to quality literature, aiding in their understanding and appreciation of great works.

Easy-to-use Language Arts Homeschool Curriculum

All levels are written for a 36-week school year. Grades 1-8 include a Teacher’s Book written in a conversational format, making it easy to use with little or no preparation time for the teacher and a Student Activity Book that provides practical language arts examples to enhance learning. Since the lessons are integrated, you don’t need to add grammar, writing, spelling, etc. to the curriculum. Regular quizzes and assessments are included to check comprehension and to ensure students retain and master the skills.

For grades 9-12, The Gold Book series is designed to encourage the high school student’s ability to read and understand literature. The Gold Books help to develop the student’s ability for verbal and written expression which will enable him to interpret and access literary meaning in terms of content and philosophy and clearly state a position in response.
