Understanding Comprehension by Alan and Elaine Horsfield is a literacy resource series designed to help students from Years 3 to 8 prepare for reading comprehension tests. Each book contains 40 test passages across a wide range of text types—narratives, poems, reports, songs, recounts, and descriptions—with eight comprehension questions per passage and detailed literacy explanations throughout.
