Small Steps in Reading and Spelling is designed to assist learners gain mastery of the most used words of the English language. These words make up the vast majority of words used by youngsters and ESL students in their daily interaction with language.
 
Completion of each step will help build the students' confidence and also an understanding of the complex skills of becoming a successful speller and reader. The carefully graded activities provide students with a comprehensive stock of basic words that they can recognise by sight and thus spell and read correctly.
 
The activities create a versatile program caaterin for the individual needs of eah student and contains revision and test pages to ensure reinforcement of each word.
