Addition
The sum of the two bottom numbers equals the number at the top of the triangle.
7+3 = 10 3+7 =10
Subtraction
Start with the number at the top. Choose a number at the bottom to subtract. Cover the selected number. The answer will be the remaining bottom number.
10-7 = 3 10-3 = 7
Use a whiteboard marker to complete the revision exercise on the back of each laminated card. Combinations can be practiced repeatedly. Can be used in many ways... as a wall display for permanent reference, as activity cards for individual students or played as a game by small groups of children. Each number is colour coded for easy recognition.
