In the Shadow of an Elephant explores the relationship between an orphaned elephant and a small African boy. It touches on poaching, friendship, loss, trust and life coming full circle.
About the Author
Georgie Donaghey discovered her love for creative writing at the age of seven. Now a lot older and wiser, her first picture book, Lulu, was published in 2015 through Dragon Tales Publishing and re-released through Wombat Books in 2017. Her second picture book, Clover's Big Ideas was released in 2017 through Little Pink Dog Books. Lulu and Clover’s Big Ideas are both featured on Kinderling Kids Radio. Young travelers through both the Virgin and Qantas inflight entertainment channels can also enjoy Lulu.
In 2013 Georgie was shortlisted for the Picture Books Preschool and Chapter Book for Older Reader Categories in the CYA Competition. Her involvement with the children's writing industry is extensive as a past President of the CBCA Sutherland branch and founder of Creative Kids Tales; an industry recognized website dedicated to assisting Australian emerging children's authors.

About the Illustrator
After being the owner of an art gallery and retail store, Sandra Severgnini finally decided it was well and truly time to nurture her lifetime passion and focus on the wonder that is children’s picture books. Her fascination for the amazing world around her inspires her and brings sensitivity and humor to her illustrations. The first books she has illustrated for Little Pink Dog Books are Where's Lucky and In The Shadow Of An Elephant.
