The Phonetic Zoo spelling program by IEW is based on Anna Ingham’s pioneering work, presented in the Blended Sound-Sight Program of Learning. She discovered over half a century ago that students learn best when what they see is reinforced by what they hear. This multisensory methodology is the most effective educational approach to spelling. Plus, The Phonetic Zoo makes learning to spell fun, engaging, and rewarding!

The Phonetic Zoo is a phonics-based audio spelling program for students in third grade and above and consists of three levels (A, B, and C). Using this program independently, students learn spelling rules incrementally, which will help with future spelling, and personal spelling lists ensure that all of a student’s spelling needs are addressed.
