Australian Geographic presents a new curriculum based geography series for students in grades 4-6.

Where we live shapes how we live in a certain area, particular geological land forms or dominant vegetation that exists there. In this book, students explore the influence of particular environments and the resulting industries in these areas. They examine case studies such as the Murray-Darling basin, as well as issues surrounding management and zoning of an area.

There are nine books in total in this series.

Others in the series include: The Importance of the Environment, Floods and Bushfires, Around the Globe, Resources and Waste, Indigenous Cultures, Custodians of the Land, Human Influence and Global Connections.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land where we work and live. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
